The Allied Forces was a coalition formed by Cao Cao to unite the powerful warlords of China to fight the tyranny of Dong Zhuo. At Cao Cao's suggestion, Yuan Shao led the Allies. The Allies won an initial victory at Si Shui Gate by defeating Hua Xiong, but due to Yuan Shu refusing to send supplies to Sun Jian, and failure to take Hu Lao Gate, the coalition fell apart and the warlords returned to their respective territories.

The term is also used in the games to describe the Shu-Wu union at Chi Bi.

In Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce and its sequel, this term refers to the warriors in the Three Kingdoms banding together.
