Fanshi (onyomi: Hanshi) is the widowed sister-in-law of Zhao Fan who attempted to marry her off to Zhao Yun, but was refused.
Shin Sangoku Musou Blast refers to her as Fan Yufeng (樊玉鳳, onyomi: Han Gyokuhō). Her name and role in the game is taken from the Chinese opera Long Feng Cheng Xiang (龍鳳呈祥) which has her become Zhao Yun's wife. She placed first with fans in Gamecity's first card promotion poll for the game.
Role in GamesEdit
In Shin Sangoku Musou Blast, Fan Yufeng appears in Zhao Yun's story as one of the defenders of Guiyang Castle alongside her brother-in-law. She also sides with Shu in some of their campaigns, most notably the Battle of Fan Castle.
Fan Yufeng's personal scenario has her try to protect Guiyang Castle in memory of her late husband. After making quick work of the bandits pillaging their domain, she and Zhao Fan are beset by the arrival of Liu Bei's forces. Despite her attempts to keep the invaders out, she is dismayed by Zhao Fan's decision to use her to lure Zhao Yun to their cause. She agrees to see Zhao Yun herself, inquiring the reason behind their siege. Having learned Liu Bei's goal to create a benevolent world, Fan Yufeng is still unable to surrender her husband's legacy and repels him. They settle the matter on amicable terms after their second encounter.
Fanshi appears as a recruitable character in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms series. Her stats for war and leadership are below average, though she is good at politics and intellect. The twelfth title lists her birth year as 176 and her death year being 215.

Romance of the Three KingdomsEdit
Lady Fan appears in Chapter 52 of the novel where she greets Zhao Yun and offers him wine during a banquet hosted by Zhao Fan. When Zhao Yun inquired the reason to their meeting, Zhao Fan suggested him to take the lady as his bride since her husband passed away. Furthermore, he had already fulfilled the requirements she expected in a man: heroic achievements, good standing, and the same family name. Zhao Yun angrily declined the offer because he felt it would further muddle their relationship as sworn brothers and ruin the widow's chastity.
