Cheng Yuanzhi (onyomi: Tei Enshi) is a fictional general for the Yellow Turbans.
Role in Games[]
In Dynasty Warriors, Cheng Yuanzhi tends to make his only appearance at the Yellow Turban Rebellion. Most games do not give him a specific role, rather he serves as a sub-officer of another Yellow Turban officer or lead his own unit at the frontline. In Dynasty Warriors 7, Cheng Yuanzhi attacks some peasants with Deng Mao in the eastern part of the map. While saving the peasants is the victory condition for Shu's first part of the map, the task is optional in the battle's versions during Wei's and Wu's stories. In Dynasty Warriors 7: Xtreme Legends, Cheng Yuanzhi is among the officers who can be rescued by Zhang Jiao in his Hero scenario in order to make them join him.
In Warriors Orochi, Cheng Yuanzhi tends to stay by his lord's side throughout the games.
Romance of the Three Kingdoms has him appear as a Yellow Turban officer with a decent war stat and relatively high leadership. But as with most other Yellow Turban generals, his other stats are very low in comparison.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms[]
In the novel, Cheng Yuanzhi, along with Deng Mao, led a force of 50,000 rebels against Han imperial forces to take over the Youzhou district. The force was opposed by the 500 volunteers led by Zou Jing. Liu Bei taunted the Yellow Turbans, spurring Cheng Yuanzhi to send Deng Mao into battle. Zhang Fei quickly stuck the warrior down in one blow. Cheng Yuanzhi, furious, rode out to do battle with Zhang Fei. Guan Yu, however, met him mid-way and felled him in one stroke, which made Cheng Yuanzhi the first victim to Guan Yu's Green Dragon. The Yellow Turban army, leaderless, fled the field.
