Hathaway Noa (ハサウェイ・ノア), also known as Hassaway Noa, is Bright's son who uses his Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack persona for Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2. Hathaway first met Quess Paraya when the space shuttle leaving earth separated him from his mother and sister. The two youths become acquainted with one another aboard the Londo Bell while visiting his father. He quickly becomes attached to Quess and obsessed with rescuing her from Char when she turned against Amuro and her father.
At the fight near the Axis Asteroid, Hathaway tries to reason with Quess when in the confusion Chan fires a critical shot at them. Quess pushes her friend out of the way and dies in the explosion. Enraged, Hathaway shoots and kills Chan. In the movie, Hathaway is last seen surviving but in shock by his actions.
During the novel adaption of Char's Counterattack, he accidentally kills Quess with a stray shot as he tried to hunt down Char. He would later become the leader of his own terrorist group in a self-titled novel series. For this continuity, he is hailed as one of the strongest Newtypes to grace the age.
Mission Mode[]
Hathaway appears randomly as an enemy during missions with Chan and Kayra Su. The players are often asked to disrupt the rendezvous with the Jegan squadron. Staying true to his character, he tries to stop Quess's killing spree during her story mode. Unlike the movie, she shoots him down by saying that he needs to be stronger than Char in order for her to like him. He also appears during Gyunei's story as one of his rivals for Quess.
Personality[]
Loved by his family, Hathaway is a hopeful and optimistic youth who believes that all dreams can be made possible. A naturally gifted pilot due to his Newtype abilities, he wants to use his skills to protect Quess from harm and becomes disgruntled with anyone who tries to get in his way. His unfortunate naivety and impulsiveness lead him to experience a similar tragedy Amuro and Kamille once had in the past.

Alternate MS[]
When the player finishes select missions throughout Mission Mode in Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2, they will unlock the ability to see characters in specific Mobile Suits during missions. These can either force the particular ace to become weaker or pilot another MS from another Gundam saga. The particular trait and MS for these conditions listed below are ones afflicting Hathaway.
