Hildaria Washer (ヒルダリア・ワッシャー) is a secondary character who appears in Zill O'll. Players need to interact with her to reach the later phases of the main story.

Role in Games

Hildaria is the lone daughter and successor to Captain Candancam, a legendary adventurer of the southern seas. She became captain when her father died. Her first act as leader is to reform the seafaring adventurers to be pirates. Many left their company due to their disapproval for her leadership, and their once thriving dock was nearly abandoned. Determined to protect the ones who remained, Hildaria stays at their den in Savage Forest.

The protagonist meets her when he/she explores the forest and defends himself/herself from the pirate guards. Saluting their opponent's strength, Hildaria calls off her men and offers a proposition to his/her party. If they can defeat the giant squid blocking the pirate ship at the docks, they can sail anywhere and anytime they like on the ship. The giant squid has wounded many of her crew, and she believes the protagonist can quell the threat for them. She stays true to her word when the protagonist defeats the beast, opening the southern sections of the world map. Players require her allowance before Ancient falls to finish Zagiv's personal events in infinite.

Visiting Hildaria after the mandatory event has her elaborate on the area and the group's history. Hildaria's anger towards heroes who persistently earn her company is a reflection of her leadership. She apologizes and reveals that her outbursts are a result of her leadership. Hildaria asks the hero to return to her after his adventure, but he refuses. She devotes herself to him, and he becomes a member of the Washer Pirates, helping them find Candancam's lost treasure. Hildaria commands her men to save her father's legacy and prays to always be with the hero.

Personality

Hildaria, a bold and frigid leader, commands obedience and earns admiration from her crew. However, she struggles with personal doubts and her father's heroism, as she feels intimidated to act tough. She wants to mourn her father's death but cannot afford the time. Hildaria yearns to be ladylike but has been raised in a discouraged environment. The captain believes she has no one to vent her frustrations and aims to impose her fearless image on her father's men. Hildaria falls in love with her father, but she struggles to act mature as the older mate. After deliberation, she sheds her facade to express her affections for him. If the hero responds with earnestness, Hildaria will express her sweetest recognition and childish wishes to him alone.
