Jiang Ban (onyomi: Shō Han) is one of Zhuge Dan's subordinates. When his lord rebelled against Wei, Jiang Ban wanted to concentrate an attack to a single flank, but he was nearly killed for this suggestion. In retaliation, Jiang Ban joined Jiao Yi and defected.
Role in Games
Dynasty Warriors
In Dynasty Warriors 7, Jiang Ban recurrently appears alongside his lord during their battles at Dongxing and at Shouchun. During his lord's rebellion, Jiang Ban will jump out of the castle to fight Sima Zhao's men, but will defect after receiving enough damage after Zhong Hui reports Zhu Yi's death.
In Dynasty Warriors 8, Jiang Ban will fight alongside his lord inside Shouchun Castle and refuse to defect.

Historical Information
Jiang Ban was present when his lord rebelled at Shouchun. Seeing that supplies were being diminished, Jiang Ban and Jiao Yi both recommended breaking out of the siege by attacking a single side. Wen Qin rejected their proposal, thinking that Sun Chen, who had already returned to Wu at this point, would come with reinforcements.
After hearing Zhuge Dan consider killing the two for their counsel, Jiang and Jiao took their troops, and surrendered to Sima Zhao.
