Ju Fu (onyomi: Kō Fu) was a military general who served the state of Shu Han. Known for his achievements in battle and his admirable personal qualities. His fame was 2nd only to fellow general Wang Ping. His name is sometimes translated as "Gou Fu." Due to little info on his historical life, he does not appear in the novel.

Roles in Games[]

In Dynasty Warriors 7, he appear as the enemy at Chengdu in Jin's story. In the first attack, he appear along with Jiang Bin and Bao Su. In the second attack, he defend the Bajun Northern Garrison along with Li Jian.

In the fourteenth installment of Romance of the Three Kingdoms, portrays Ju Fu as a decent general who appears in the later scenarios where he serves Shu. His military stats are decent, around the low-mid 70s, along with above-average intellect. His politicis and charisma are average, in the low 50s to 60s. In reference to his career being associated with Wang Ping, the two perform better in battle when deployed together.

Historical Information[]

Ju Fu was from Hanchang county, Baxi commandery. Fellow military officer Wang Ping also lived nearby in the same commandery. Like Wang Ping, he probably was a foreigner living with the local tribes in the area. Known as a loyal, brave and generous man. He performed well in many battles, and as such, received many honours and a good reputation that his fame was comparable to Wang Ping's. At some point in his life, he was appointed as "General of the Left (左將軍)" which would be the highest position he received in his lifetime.

In the later years of Shu, when the most prominent veteran generals were Liao Hua and Zhang Yi. The common folk would always say "Before we had Wang and Ju, and these days we have Zhang and Liao." Which would indicate since Zhang Yi and Liao Hua's careers were so intertwined. The same could be said for Ju Fu and Wang Ping's careers also.
