Sacrea (サクリア, sakuria) is a mystical element within the Angelique and Neo Angelique series. It is used to foster and maintain the cosmos ruled by a Queen in the Holy Land. There are several cosmoses, but the three main cosmoses introduced within the continuity are the Sacred Bird Cosmos, the Sacred Beast Cosmos and Arcadia.
Throughout the series, this power is known to manifest in a variety of forms.
Properties[]
Sacrea is a divine power granted to select individuals, originally a sentient spirit representing a cosmos's will. The Queen and her Queen Aide sustain a cosmos, supporting harmony and prosperity. The Queen's Sacrea is the strongest and can perform global shields and time travel. Sacrea is divided into nine properties for the Sacred Guardians, who magically inspire planets upon receiving it.

Sacrea imbalances can have disastrous effects on a planet's future. The Royal Institute provides space coordinates and initial readings for such issues. The Queen assigns guardians to investigate, using their Sacrea to locate and remedy misalignments. The power of a cosmos's Sacrea can be bestowed at any age, but it will not last forever. The Queen may choose to die with her dying cosmos, and guardians may return to a foreign home. The Queen and her Sacred Guardians are often revered as living deities, while the universe seeks an envoy to foster a new cosmos.

Sacrea crystals, known as "Gemmes" in the Angelique continuity, are relics of the Queens and Sacred Guardians of Arcadia. They are used by the Artifact Foundation for ancient technology research and are harnessed by the protagonist's group, the "Aube Hunters". Sacrea is misunderstood by the general populace, and the universe seeks an envoy, the "étoile," to foster the birth of a new cosmos. The étoile can store and transport Sacrea with the universe's help.
