Sadamasa Okudaira is a Tokugawa retainer who was kept as a hostage in the Takeda before returning to his master. He is remembered in history for defending Nagashino Castle which kick-started the Battle of Nagashino. Nobunaga rewarded his efforts by allowing Sadamasa to adopt "Nobu" for his name, an honor ordinarily reserved for family.
Role in GamesEdit
The Samurai Warriors series often features him guarding Nagashino Castle, the main escape point for Katsuyori's retreat. His importance for the guard fluctuates with each title. The second and fourth main installments stress that his protection/elimination is vital for the campaign's success and to protect ally morale. Samurai Warriors: Xtreme Legends has him at appear Komaki-Nagakute and the third numbered entry has him fight at Ueda Castle and Sekigahara.
