Overdrive Attack[]
I have just managed to activate overdrive attack playing MULTI RAID 2. It seems to have the same button input as special attacks but are completely different attacks entirely. These attacks can only be performed while weapon is enhanced and when special conditions are met. On activation the white fury awakening particle effects for Cao Pi appears and he slashes to the air multiple times while flipping around and creating shockwaves. This is the special condition for Cao Pi:
I am only able to activate Cao Pi's overdrive attack after reaching 20 combo and (apparently) moving the analog stick down up + triangle (same as the special attack, making it very difficult to reliably execute).
So far I have able to activate most frequently Cao Pi + Nu Wa's overdrive attacks (they appear to have the same conditions). I've also activated Cao Cao's overdrive attack (through Cao Pi, 1000/1000 sword affinity) which shows as Cao Pi raising the sword up while summoning a brief thunderstorm in a circle around him. I've also activated Zhou Tai's and a couple of others, however on certain characters (with special conditions that I can't read) I have not been able to activate at all. If someone can complete the overdrive attack segment by providing Japanese translations, that would be great.

- To correct your assumptions, special attacks from the original title are reclassified as overdrive attacks in the sequel. Also, the 20-hit move you've performed is actually an alteration of an overdrive attack according to the features listed in the image link. And yes, I do know some Japanese to distinguish the kanji being used, so it's safe to assume that other weapons may have this feature as well. Interesting...
