Wang Tao (onyomi: Ō Tō) is the eldest of two daughters to a reputed bandit chief, Wang Ling (王令公). After Guan Suo won Bao Sanniang's hand in marriage, her would-be-cowardly fiancé, Wei Lan, fled to his fort and hired Wang Ling to defend him. The chief and his bandit daughters led the defenses while plundering from the neighboring townsfolk.
Guan Suo pursued the rumors and infiltrated the fort to kill Wei Lan. On the way, he bested the Wang sisters in combat. Wooed by his strength, they both agreed to marry him. They stayed beside him but Zhuge Liang forbade them an official rank to aid Guan Suo in battle. After their husband's death, they either defended Shu to the end or returned to their hometown.
Roles in GamesEdit
Wang Tao is a hidden character in the PlayStation 2 version of Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI. Unlocked by clearing the Nanman Rebellion challenge, she has decent war and leadership stats and excells in bow troops. 100man-nin no Sangokushi reenacts their duel in Guan Suo's character episode event, following the version in which she seeks to avenge her father's defeat; after she loses, she follows him due to her respect for him. Bao Sanniang's side of the same duel has the wife defend her husband from the bandit.
