Historical Information
Edit
When Dong Zhuo took over the capital during the late Han Dynasty, Yang Feng was assigned to serve under Li Jue. Dissatisfied with his post, however, he left the army and joined the White Wave Bandits led by his friend Han Xian. The group mostly consisted of Yellow Turban remnants and veterans.
Upon hearing of Emperor Xian's captivity at Chang'an by Li Jue and Guo Si, Yang Feng convinced his comrades to help rescue him. Although they were able to succeed due to Cao Cao's assistance, none of them remained in the capital due to their distrust towards him. They eventually went on to serve Yuan Shu only to betray him for Lu Bu after being fed false information regarding their lord's motivations. Despite being promoted for his part in the defection, Yang Feng was executed by Liu Bei for pillaging civilians with his troops.
